Over the past 5 years, the Trinity Team has had the pleasure of supporting in a terrific local event – the Edible Pedal 100. The bike ride is organized by the Reno Rotary, to raise funds to support over 30 different local charitable causes and organizations. With a 10 mile, 50 mile and 150K ride, there is a distance for everyone – including the kids!

Our crew has been mostly involved by providing technical support and services. We created the website and continue to manage it. We staff the check-in stations. However our largest contribution is a custom software application that allows riders to register and check-in, securely and efficiently. As a non-profit, Edible Pedal is not in a position to invest in the software that much larger event management firms use for organized bike rides or running races. Also, ride registration is handled by a group of volunteers working at different sites, so whatever the software solution was, it needed to be intuitive and mobile.

Learn all about how we worked with the Edible Pedal Team to design a custom solution to keep the ride running smoothly in this case study.
